My name is Layel and this is a journal of my adventures in the kitchen. I am 15 and I have been baking and perfecting recipes for the past 5 years. My baking journey began when my Mom decided to go "gluten free." I began spending a lot of hours in the kitchen trying to come up with recipes that were "gluten free," tasty, and something we could all enjoy together. If any of you don't know, most store bought "gluten free" items are pretty bland and lacking a lot of texture. Through this challenge I realized I love baking, which is strange because the rest of my family is not fond of creating in the kitchen. It is fun to see what amazing creations you can come up with that are easy but have the flavor of a gourmet meal.
